JUVÉDERM ULTRA & ULTRA PLUS XC

Belotero

Belotero is an FDA-approved cosmetic dermal filler made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It’s formulated to be soft and cohesive so that it integrates smoothly into skin tissue, which helps smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds like nasolabial folds. It works well in delicate, thin-skinned areas (for instance fine lines around the mouth or under the eyes) because it tends not to cause lumps, bumps or the bluish “Tyndall effect.” 

After injection, improvements are visible immediately, though final appearance settles over a week or two as swelling reduces. Results typically last between six months and about a year, depending on where it’s injected and how much movement that area gets. 

Side effects are generally mild and temporary—swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness at the injection site. More serious risks are rare but include allergic reactions, vascular occlusion if improperly injected, or other complications.

Teosyal is a brand of injectable fillers made with hyaluronic acid (HA) that aren’t derived from animals. It comes in many formulations designed for different facial areas and goals, such as smoothing wrinkles, restoring lost volume in cheeks, enhancing lips, and hydrating thin-skin areas like under the eyes. Its “RHA” line is formulated to move more naturally with facial expressions, while the “PureSense” line often includes lidocaine to reduce discomfort. The results are visible immediately, though swelling and bruising can occur, and the effects are temporary — lasting perhaps from six months up to about 18-22 months depending on which product is used, where it is injected, and the individual’s metabolism.
